Owner of “Simply Staged to Sell”, Carell-Ayne Whalen has been in the business of providing great home styling since 1998.

 

Carell-Ayne and her partner originally started an antique business in Sidney called “Funtiques.” She has always loved style and fashion having worked in retail and as a personal shopper for prestigious clients of Holt Renfrew in Calgary.

 

She started her “Style on YOUR Budget” journey during this time, since she had a limited budget for her own personal fashion, but always had to dress like a million bucks for those clients! That is where she fell in love and learned to master the art of using colour and accessories. Shifting from women’s fashions to home decor fashion was an easy transition.

 

Due to a sudden illness and subsequent death of her partner in Funtiques, Carell-Ayne decided to downsize. Part of the downsizing required that she “stage” her own home with all of her existing furniture and accessories. The good news … the home sold within weeks. She was thrilled! She then knew that property styling was her calling.

 

Her passion led to becoming a Certified Staging Professional (CSP) and then officially started “Simply Staged to Sell.”

 

Carell-Ayne is the sole proprietor and her team is comprised of other professional stagers and stylists. Today, she offers three services, Home Staging for vacant and occupied homes, Home Styling redesign using client’s existing furnishings and a rental-locator service for clients not wanting to purchase a new home once they sell.
